Battered deep fried onion sticks and fancy schmancy (not really) Caesar salad.
Instead of using whole onion rings, I cut onions into "sticks".
I put Prosciutto in the oven to give it that crispness I needed in order to be able to eat it.
If it's too hot to use an oven, fry it in a pan.
I shaved off slices of Asiago cheese, but you can any cheese.
Instead of making your own aioli to dip your onion sticks in, you can just buy a dipping sauce.
I used a sweet and spicy chipotle dipping sauce and added mayo.
He fries spinach in butter and adds chopped garlic.
He scoops this on top of the oyster meat.
He adds cheese.
Sometimes a dash of Tobasco.
Delish!
Grilled chicken, fried carrots and spuds and mixed greens with cheese.
To add a little pizzazz to the salad, I added some fried dried onions.
I always cook my carrots and potatoes in soup mix, then when they are almost done, I fry them in olive oil with at least one or two spices.
My favourite potato spices are caraway seeds, onion salt, coriander seeds and Italian seasonings.
